Important Note:

KSCST has released financial assistance for projects sanctioned under the 44th, 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th, and 49th Series of the Student Project Programme (SPP). Submission of the Utilization Certificate (UC) and Statement of Expenditure (SoE) in the prescribed format is mandatory to complete the accounting formalities.

KSCST has issued several communications through email to the SPP Coordinators and the Heads of Institutions, requesting submission of the UC in the prescribed format available on the KSCST website.

A review of KSCST records indicates that a few institutions have not yet submitted the Utilization Certificates for grants released under the 44th Series (2020-21), 45th Series (2021-22), and 46th Series (2022-23). Further, institutions that received grants under the 47th Series (2023-24), 48th Series (2024-25), and 49th Series (2025-26) are requested to submit the Utilization Certificate (UC) and Statement of Expenditure (SoE) at the earliest to complete the accounting formalities.

Institutions are requested to submit a single consolidated Utilization Certificate covering all the projects sanctioned to the institution for a particular SPP series. Submission of individual project-wise UCs or UCs covering only a few projects while leaving others pending should be avoided.

In cases where a sanctioned project has not been undertaken or completed, the corresponding grant amount should be refunded to the Secretary, KSCST, Indian Institute of Science Campus, Bengaluru - 560 012. (The KSCST bank account details are provided separately at the link below.) Photocopies of bills and vouchers are not required to be enclosed with the UC and SoE.

Please note: Institutions that have pending Utilization Certificates from previous SPP series will not be considered for the release of financial assistance for the sanctioned projects under the 50th Series (Golden Jubilee Series) of the Student Project Programme until the pending UCs are received and the accounts are regularized.

To facilitate the timely processing and release of grants under the 50th Series of SPP, all institutions are requested to accord top priority to the submission of the pending UCs and SoEs. Your prompt cooperation in this regard is sincerely appreciated.
