    National Science Day Celebration   
      Karnataka State Council for Science and 
      Technology (KSCST), National Council for Science and Technology 
      Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Government of 
      India, New Delhi and Department of Science and Technology, Government of 
      Karnataka are jointly organizing National Science Day 2021 Celebrations on 
      2nd March 2021 on On-line Platform. 
      We would like to bring to your kind 
      information that "FUTURE OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION 
	  (STI) : IMPACTS ON EDUCATION, SKILLS AND WORK" is 
      the theme of this year 2021 National Science Day. 
	 
        
      KSCST is 
      conducting  competitions namely, Online painting competition and  
	  Essay 
      Writing Competition on the theme for the 
      students of High Schools. 
        
      Online Painting Competition 
      The
	  Online 
	  painting competition is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, the 13th February 2021 from 
	  10.30 AM to 12.45 PM. The painting competition will be held Online through 
	  Google Meeting. The link will be provided by email to the students those 
	  who register for the competition. 
      Theme for Painting Competition: FUTURE OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND 
	  INNOVATION (STI) : IMPACTS ON EDUCATION, SKILLS AND WORK 
      The students can select any one of the 
	  sub-topics from following for painting. 
      ▪ STI for sustainable environment 
      ▪ STI in medicine and healthcare 
      ▪ Role of automation and artificial intelligence 
	  in STI 
      ▪ STI in education and information technology 
      ▪ Green buildings and green energyWomen Achievers

      Registration Closes on 11th 
	  February 2021 at 5.00 pm 
      The winners of the competition will be awarded with a E-Certificate and 
	  Prize money. The winners will be announced on National Science Day 2021 
	  programme to be held on 2nd March 2021 (Tuesday) - through online 
	  platform. (The link will be separately shared to all registered 
	  participants by email) 
      The painting competition will be conducted Online. The students are 
	  informed to participate from their home and use A3 Size drawing sheets for 
	  the painting competition. The drawing to be done using crayons, water 
	  color paint and other related accessories on their own. 
        
      Date of Painting competition : 13th February 2021 
	  (Saturday) from 10.30 AM to 12.45 PM. 
      KSCST will send Google meeting link to the registered students by email on 
	  12th February 2021. 
        
      Guidelines for participating in the Online Painting competition 
      Kindly follow the given rules strictly to take pride in being morally 
	  upright. 
      Student shall register their name and address, email id in the Google form 
	  link provided above on or before 11th February 2021. 
      Email will be sent by KSCST to the registered student email id consisting 
	  of Google Online competition link on 12th February 2021. 
      Students shall keep ready the painting sheet - A3 size - 220 GSM, 
	  paintings and other essentials required for painting competition. 
      Students must login to their respective competition room at 10.30 am on 
	  13th February 2021 
      Timings for the painting competition shall be as follows:10: 45 am to 
	  12:15 pm - Painting competition time 12:15 to 12:45 pm - Scan and upload, 
	  email time
 
      The Cameras for their Tab / Mobile handset / Laptop to be switched ON and 
	  kept in front of the student at all times during the painting competition 
	  from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm. KSCST officials will be watching the students 
	  during the competition. Any unfair means of taking the painting 
	  competition, they will be terminated from the competition room. Students 
	  should avoid leaving their seats during the painting competition times. 
      Parents are urged to invigilate the competition. One of them must be 
	  present during the competition time, so as to ensure that the student does 
	  not resort to unfair means of taking the painting competition. 
      Use A3 size, 220 GSM thickness sheet to paint and write on the back side 
	  of the painting sheet, name of the participating student and contact 
	  details (Name, Class / Grade, School and Postal address with pin Code, 
	  contact mobile number). 
      After completing the painting competition, scan the painted sheet 
	  front-side and back-side using ADOBE SCAN APP or any other APP in .pdf 
	  format and email the same to the KSCST email id. 
	 
      The email Id is

	  office.kscst@iisc.ac.in 
      Scans must be clear, not cloudy. 
      The email should be sent to the above mentioned email ids by 12.45 PM. 
	  Email sent after this time will not be considered for evaluation. 
      Any request regarding extra time/ technical glitches shall not be 
	  entertained. Adhere to the given timings.
