National Science Day Celebration
Karnataka State Council for Science and
Technology (KSCST), National Council for Science and Technology
Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Government of
India, New Delhi and Department of Science and Technology, Government of
Karnataka are jointly organizing National Science Day 2020 Celebrations on
3rd March 2020 at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science,
Bengaluru.
We would like to bring to your kind
information that "WOMEN IN SCIENCE" is
the theme of this year 2020 National Science Day. In this respect, KSCST is
conducting competitions namely, On-the-Spot painting competitions and Essay
Writing Competitions on the theme for the
students of Higher Primary and High Schools in and around Bengaluru.
The
On-the-Spot
painting competition is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, the 8th February 2020 from 9.30 AM to 12.30 Noon
at the Indian Institute of Science (Behind Tata Statue, IISc Main
Building).
Theme for On-The-Spot Painting Competition: Women in Science
The students can select any one of the
sub-topics from following for painting.
▪ Women Achievers
▪ Health and Hygiene
▪ Women in Science and Technology
▪ Nutrition and Security
▪ Any other concept
KSCST will provide Drawing Sheets for Painting.
The students are requested to bring paint, brush, crayons, hard-board and
other related accessories on their own.
The winners of the competition will be awarded
with a Certificate and Prize on National Science Day 2020 function.
The National Science Day function will be
held on Tuesday, 3rd March 2019 at at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore.
KSCST will organize popular lectures by
eminent scientists from premier institutions on related topics on the theme
"WOMEN IN SCIENCE". It
will be followed by prize distribution to students, for various
competitions held during February 2020 - On-the-spot painting competition,
Essay Competitions.
We are expecting about 750 students from
various Higher Primary and High schools across Bengaluru to participate in
this programme. The winning Paintings and Essay will be exhibited at J.
N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
