National Science Day Celebration
Karnataka State Council for Science and
Technology (KSCST), Department of Science and Technology, Government of
Karnataka and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India,
New Delhi are jointly organizing National Science Day 2014 Celebrations on
28th February 2014 at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore.
We would like to bring to your kind
information that "FOSTERING SCIENTIFIC TEMPER" is
the theme of this year National Science Day. In this respect, KSCST is
conducting various competitions namely, Poster competition, On-the-Spot painting competitions and Science Essay Competitions on the theme for the
students of Higher Primary and High Schools in Bangalore.
The painting competition is scheduled to be
conducted on Sunday, the 16th February 2014 from 10.00 AM to 12.30 Noon
at the Indian Institute of Science (Behind Tata Statue, IISc Main
Building).
The National Science Day function will be
held on 28th February 2014 at at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore.
KSCST has organized popular lectures by
eminent scientists from premier institution on related topics on the theme "FOSTERING
SCIENTIFIC TEMPER". It
will be followed by prize distribution to students, for various
competitions held during February 2014 - On-the-spot painting competition,
Essay and Poster Competition. We are expecting about 800 students from
various Higher Primary and High schools across Bangalore to participate in
this programme. The winning Paintings and posters will be exhibited at J.
N. Tata Auditorium.

Karnataka State Council for Science and
Technology, Bangalore, Department of Science and Technology, Government of
Karnataka and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India,
New Delhi are jointly Celebrating National Science Day - 2014 on 28th
February 2014 at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore. The theme of this year's National Science Day is "Fostering
Scientific Temper".
On this occasion, the Council had organized
various competitions such as on-the-spot Painting Competition, Essay and
Poster Competition is organized for Higher Primary and High School
Students of Bangalore City. The winners of these competitions will be
awarded during the National Science Day celebrations on 28th February
2014.
The programme will be inaugurated by Shri Y.
B. Ramakrishna, Former Executive Chairman, Karnataka State Biofuel
Development Board, Government of Karnataka. The
president of the function will be Dr. M. Prithviraj, Executive Secretary, KSCST. The Council
has also arranged three technical lectures, first lecture by Prof. K. N.
Ganeshaiah, Department of Forestry & Environmental Sciences, University of
Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, second lecture by Shri Srinivas. K, Block
Resource Person, Department of Education, Kolar and third lecture by Shri
B. R. Guruprasad, Public Relation Officer, ISRO, Bangalore.
During the afternoon session the book will
be released "Vidhyarthi Vijnaniya Dinachari" by Prof. Roddam Narasimha,
FRS, Honorary Professor, Engineering Mechanics Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru
Centre of Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore. The other dignitaries
present during the function will be Prof. Nicole Ostrowsky, Former Head of
Laboratory of Physics & Condensed Matter, University of Nice, France, Shri
S. S. Nakul, IAS, Director, Department of Information Technology,
Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka, Mr. Eric Lavertu, Consulate
General De France at Bangalore and Dr. M. Prithviraj, Executive Secretary, KSCST.
Prof. B. N. Raghunandan, Dean, Engineering, Indian Institute of Science
will preside over the function.
The programme is catalyzed and supported by
National Council for Science and Technology Communications, Department of Science
and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi and Department of Science
and Technology, Government of Karnataka.

2014 ರಂದು
ಜೆ.ಎನ್. ಟಾಟಾ ಆಡಿಟೋರಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಾಲಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ
ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆ "ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ
ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸುವಿಕೆ".
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ, ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರೆಯುವ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ, ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಸ್ಥರ್ದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್
ರಚನೆ ಸ್ಫರ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳ ವಿಜೇತರನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ
ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 800 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಂದ
ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು

ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ. ಕೆ, ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವಿಭಾಗ,
